Carolina Beach Trip
Hey y'all! I am so glad to see y'all here at faith & flair pens! If you have not read my other post all about me being back to blogging that went live today- check that out here. Otherwise, let's get into today's post.
Right after 4th of July, my family and I (including our 2 dogs, Bandit and Panda) packed up and headed to Carolina Beach, NC for a few days. We have been going for years now and, in all honesty, CB has become like a second home of sorts, so I was very happy to be going back this year. We hadn't planned on going originally with the COVID-19 pandemic going on currently. However, after all being in the house together since March, we felt like a vacation was needed. I know I desperately needed a vacation after finishing my first year teaching. I do want to mention, though, that we were not careless in this trip. We sent boundaries for ourselves as a family to ensure we would stay safe. We wiped down our Air bnb when we arrived, we stayed away from the boardwalk and restaurants, ensured we stayed 6 feet from people while on the beach itself, and only went to stores when necessary with hand sanitizer and masks.
It was a really great trip and I loved getting to go to the beach and pool! I think it was the perfect getaway. Part of what I dd on the trip was that I took quite a few of pictures, so I wanted to post them all here to show y'all and to get to talk a little bit about our trip!
This little sign was on the door of our condo. I thought it was so cute and added a picture of it to my Instagram story when we got everything wiped down and cleaned.
Before we even left the house we took a big selfie together, and no surprise, I added it to my Instagram story. The picture above is actually a screen shot of my story.
I got this journal from Cultivate What Matters! It arrived just before we left for the beach so I made sure to pack it to bring with me. It was a great thing to have on the beach to complete. If ya'll would like a more in depth look at the Cultivate Confidence Journal- let me know and I would love to do a blog post all about it!
This is a water bottle I ordered on Amazon at the beginning of the stay at home order and it;s been a great thing to have with me all the time to make sure I'm drinking water.
The complex our condo was in did have a small pool, so my sister, Hailey, and I got in for a little bit while no one else was there.
We did get takeout for dinner one night, so I had to post what I was eating on my Instagram story. (The picture above is a screenshot of my Instagram story.) I ate shrimp, hush puppies, and fries. It was all really good!
I got this silicone wine glass in my Build Your Own Teacher Care Crate. I love it and had to bring it to the beach with me, although I only had cheerwine in it.
I really hope y'all liked getting to read a little bit about my trip to Carolina Beach. I really enjoyed my time there and already missing it. I also really enjoyed sharing it with y'all! Let me know if you've gotten to go on vacation this summer :) I hope y'all have a great day!
XOXO
Faith
