Going to Grad School!!
I recently found out that I was accepted into the Masters of Education in Special Education at UNC Charlotte. I've been thinking about furthering my education and getting my masters since I was in undergrad so I'm very excited and proud of myself for the opportunity. I think it will be a great thing to learn more to become a better educator and a fun chance to be around other people doing the same. It is a 2 year program that is fully online.
Another part of this is I was also accepted into something called the INTACT program. It's a program for masters students in special education or counseling to work together in a cohort model learn more about applied behavior analysis and mental health/crisis intervention. This program offers a grant to pay for tuition and a stipend for educational expenses. I'm really excited about this program and so grateful for the fact that I don't have to worry about finances when it comes to getting my masters degree.
I will be starting during the summer session and my first class with start at the end of May. I was able to register for my summer and fall classes while I was on spring break! I am so excited about it and thought it would be fun to share the classes I'll be taking. Below is a list of the classes I'll be taking during the summer and fall semesters.
Concepts in Applies Behavior Analysis
Consultation in School Counseling
Research Methods
Individualizing Instruction for Diverse Learners
Behavioral Assessment
I'm really looking forward to these classes!
That is the main thing I wanted to share about going to grad school but please let me know if you have any questions about my journey in grad school.XOXO
Faith
